SENIOR CITIZENS PROGRAM

SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB

  • The Brown Deer Senior Citizens Club is a social organization for Brown Deer residents 55 years and older. Membership is also open to nonresidents. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8080 N. 47th Street  Activities include league bowling, cards, chorus, exercise classes, health services, legislative activities, service programs, special events, and tour and travel. A monthly newsletter is mailed to all members. Annual dues are $8 for residents and $11 for nonresidents. Call the Park and Recreation Department at (414) 371-3070 for membership information.

SENIOR EXERCISE

  • Exercise classes designed for Senior Citizens, 55 years and older, are held from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. on weekday mornings at Trinity Community Church, 9450 N. 60th Street, in Fall, Winter and Spring. The Tuesday and Thursday classes include light conditioning, stretching, walking and health information. Participants may register for one or more classes each week.

SENIOR CITIZENS GOLD CARD

  • Senior Citizens are invited to attend all Brown Deer school events as guests of the School District. A Gold Card provides free admission to any event. Senior Citizens, 55 years and older, may obtain a Gold Card at the Brown Deer Park and Recreation Department in Village Hall, 4800 W. Green Brook Drive, or the School District Administrative Services Center, 8200 N. 60 Street

SENIOR MEAL PROGRAM

  • The Senior Meal Program is held at the Brown Deer Senior Citizens Center in Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8080 N. 47th Street,  at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays and election days.  The program is open to senior citizens, 60 years of age and older, and spouses.  Meal reservations must be made a minimum of one day in advance either in person or by telephone.  Call the meal site at (414) 357-7002 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Otherwise feel free to contact the Park and recreation department at (414) 371-3070 for information.
