JUNE 23, 2003 MEETING MINUTES

HELD AT THE BROWN DEER VILLAGE HALL

4800 WEST GREEN BROOK DRIVE

The meeting was called to order by President Jaberg at 7:30 P.M.

I. Roll Call

Present: Village President Jaberg, Trustees: Askew, Baker, Kundinger, Schilz

Excused: Trustee Krueger, Nealy

Also Present: Russell Van Gompel, Village Manager

V. New Business

A) Resolution No. 03-, “Initial Resolution Authorizing the Borrowing of Not to Exceed $945,000; Providing for the Issuance and Sale of General Obligation Securities Therefore; and Levy a Tax in Connection Therewith”

Mr. Van Gompel reviewed his memorandum and the need to consider the proposed resolution. He noted that the initial resolution authorizes the borrowing, and if needed, to repay the Village of Whitefish Bay for the Village of Brown Deer’s portion of the debt. This resolution would allow debt service payments to be outside of the proposed property tax freeze being contemplated by the State of Wisconsin legislature. If the Village of Brown Deer is required to issue debt to repay the Village of Whitefish Bay, additional Village Board action would be required.

It was moved by Village President Jaberg and seconded by Trustee Schilz to adopt Resolution No. 03-, “Initial Resolution Authorizing the Borrowing of Not to Exceed $945,000; Providing for the Issuance and Sale of General Obligation Securities Therefore; and Levy a Tax in Connection Therewith”. The motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Trustee Kundinger and seconded by Trustee Schilz to adjourn. The motion carried unanimously at 7:45 P.M.
