NOVEMBER 6, 2003 MINUTES OF THE BUDGET WORKSHOP

HELD AT THE BROWN DEER VILLAGE HALL

4800 WEST GREEN BROOK DRIVE

The meeting was called to order by President Jaberg at 6:30 P.M.

I. Roll Call

Present: Village President Jaberg, Trustees: Askew, Krueger, Kundinger, Nealy, Schilz

Excused: Trustee Baker

Also Present: Russell Van Gompel, Village Manager; Andy Pederson, Assistant Village Manager/Community Services Director; Kathy Kasza, Administrative Services Director; Arnold Gutkowski, Library Director; Jane Peterson, Health Department Director; Susan Schneider, Finance & Public Works Committee Member (6:45 p.m.); Phil Kurtz, Finance & Public Works Committee Member; Tom Leiven, Finance & Public Works Committee Member

II. Budget Workshop of 2004 Budget

Mr. Van Gompel reviewed the Health Department budget.

Mr. Van Gompel reviewed the Library budget.

Mr. Van Gompel introduced the Community Services budget. Mr. Pederson reviewed proposed changes to the Inspection fee schedule.

Mr. Van Gompel introduced the Administrative Services Department budget. Ms. Kasza reviewed changes to the budget.

Meeting recessed at 8:30 p.m. and reconvened at 8:50 p.m.

Mr. Van Gompel reviewed the Revenue budget.

Mr. Van Gompel reviewed the Capital Projects budget and the Board discussed various capital projects for consideration.

Trustee Nealy was excused herself from the meeting at 9:37 p.m.

The Board discussed the proposed Stormwater Utility.

III. Adjournment

It was moved by Trustee Schilz and seconded by Trustee Krueger to adjourn at 11:04 P.M. The motion carried unanimously.
