Years on Village Board: 2017- present My current term as Village Trustee will end in the Spring of 2020.

Years as a Brown Deer Resident: Since 1993

Community Involvement: Serving the Beautification Committee since 2001 (16 years) and has served as the Chair since 2013. Designed the Deer Run logos since its inception and am now also serving on the Brown Deer Foundation. For the past 5-6 years, I have been volunteering on holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas days) serving up hot meals that are delivered to subsidized senior housing throughout the Milwaukee area and its suburbs through Community Projects for Seniors.

Family: I have one very talented daughter, Virginia, 20, named after my mother, who graduated from Brown Deer High School. She earned a scholarship from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, where her focus is on illustration, print-making and photography. I live happily in my farmhouse on 60th Street with two black cats and my long-time partner Kelly Graham, who has three grown children and is also active in the Brown Deer community.

Education & Occupation: I attended DePauw University in Indiana as an English comp. and art double major, where I became a member of Delta Gamma sorority. I then moved to Chicago to earn a BFA at the School of the Art Institute, where I majored in painting and drawing, with a secondary emphasis on computer-aided design. I currently am an Art Director and Designer, and have spent most of my career in the Milwaukee advertising industry.

Leisure Activities: Gardening, painting, reading and sewing are my major loves, in addition to working on the farmhouse – an on-going activity that occasionally involves a sledgehammer and protective gear. I am always excited to explore antique stores and junk shops for interesting projects to take on. I love a good word puzzle or a Sudoku, and playing racquetball.
