Teddy Bear DaySeptember 9th
September 9th is Teddy Bear Day! Stop by the library and pick up a Teddy Bear themed craft kit and browse our favorite bear themed picture books (you can even take a few home with you)! While you are here you can also drop off your stuffed animal friend for the Stuffed Animal Sleepover!
Stuffed Animal Sleepover @ the Library!September 9th-10th
Have you always wondered what happens in the library at night? Now is the chance for your favorite stuffed friend to experience the library after dark! Bring your favorite (or maybe second favorite), stuffy to the library. We will provide the entertainment and activities. Check in on Instagram and Facebook to see what your friends have been up to.
Banned Books WeekAvailable beginning September 27th
To celebrate banned books week we will be giving out a goody bag filled with banned books related activities. These activities will include cross words, puzzles, and other fun activities. Just stop by the library the week of September 27th to pick up your bag!
Star Wars ReadsMonday October 4th all day, while supplies last
October is Star Wars Reads Month, a time to celebrate everything Star Wars! Come and decorate a Star Wars mask of your favorite character, and pick up some fun Star Wars themed activity and coloring sheets.
Halloween Scavenger HuntOctober 18th – 30th
We've got a fun game for you that will also earn you some tasty treats! Between October 18th and October 30th, come to the library for a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt. We'll have Halloween words hidden around the library - find them all, and you'll earn a Halloween treat bag! Just stop by the front desk to sign up and to pick up your game card.
Unicorn Madness!For children and teens

Love unicorns? So do we! Come celebrate everything that is “unicorn”! Pick up your unicorn kit beginning Monday October 4th, which will be filled with unicorn crafts and goodies.
Mad Hatter DayWednesday October 6th all day
Celebrate the whacky character from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland! Wear your own crazy hat or we will provide supplies to make one. Craft a paper rose, build a house of cards and show off your silly hat! This program will run all day so feel free to stop in during regular library hours. Make sure to check your pocket watch and don’t be late!

Preschool StorytimeMondays at 10:30AM
September 27th – December 6th
Join us for stories and songs! Every Monday we’ll be sharing some fun books, singing songs, and doing fingerplays. There will also be a fun craft to take home. All participants over the age of 2 and the librarian running storytime must be masked, out of respect of those that are not yet vaccinated. Not able to be here in person? We will be uploading the storytime to our Facebook page each Tuesday at 10:00AM so you can still join in the fun! Space is limited due to social distancing, and registration is required. You can register for each week you wish you attend by calling our Reference Desk at 414-357-0106 beginning the week before the storytime session.
Art CartEvery Tuesday of the month
Available for all ages, but especially children
Stop in the library and check-out an Art Cart bag (while supplies last). Inside will be a variety of art supplies and at least one project idea. Bring the bag home and make something awesome!
Lego ClubAvailable every first and third Wednesday of the month
It’s Lego Club, with a twist. Every first and third Tuesday of the month, we’ll have a new Lego challenge for you to try to building. Come to the library and check-out a Lego kit – inside will be a challenge and the Legos you’ll need to build it. Take a picture once you’ve completed the challenge, and earn a stamp on your Lego Club punch card. For every two stamps you get, you’ll receive a small prize!
Relax & Refresh KitsAvailable the first Friday of each month
Stop in the library each month to check-out a kit to help you take a break from daily stresses. Kits are intended to be simple, mindful, and include items such as puzzles, coloring sheets, easy crafts, and small treats.
