Location Benefits
Brown Deer has a strong economic foundation. Located strategically between Interstate 43 and U.S. Highway 45, the Village benefits from its immediate proximity to the City of Milwaukee and the greater Chicago metropolitan area. Additional local and regional partners such as the Milwaukee 7 help to further strengthen the business climate of Brown Deer.
Know Business
Several major corporate headquarters are located in Brown Deer (Bank Mutual, TAPCO, Badger Meter) and many unique local businesses, particularly in the historic Original Village area, call Brown Deer "home". These businesses have been supported by the Village through the creation of three Tax Incremental Financing Districts that promote redevelopment in the community. These districts have helped to spur new construction, refurbish streetscapes and enhance some of the Village's abundant natural resources.
