Railroad work to require full closure of Brown Deer Road
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is notifying motorists of an upcoming full closure of Brown Deer Road (WIS 100) in the village of Brown Deer in Milwaukee County. Wisconsin Central Ltd. (Canadian National Railway), is replacing their railroad crossing located between Deerbrook Trail and Arbon Drive. This work follows up the maintenance repairs at the crossing performed in May of this year. The new railroad crossing will help alleviate issues underneath the tracks, and will provide a smoother driving surface.
To complete this work, crews require a full closure of Brown Deer Road at the crossing from Monday, November 12 until Friday, November 16. Please note that this closure is weather dependent and subject to change.
An official detour will be posted using 76th Street (WIS 181), Good Hope Road (County PP) and Green Bay Road (WIS 57).
